Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Beauty by Courtney Renee', LLC where "Feeling Beautiful Never Goes Out of Style!" As your makeup artist, I commit to making your experience nothing short of amazing!


In order to accomplish that goal, please carefully review the Terms & Conditions in its entirety to make sure we are on the same page. :)

Booking Process

How To Book

  1. Select any “Appointments Available” or “Book Now” button.
  2. Complete contact form with all necessary appointment information.
  3. Expect email within 24-48 hours with client proposal - will include service selection, client questionnaire, client agreement, invoice, & payment link.
  4. Complete all forms & sign client agreement.
  5. Pay security deposit.
  6. Complete final payment before or on service date.

Payment Information

Security Deposits

To secure a date and time, a signed contract and the security deposit are required. The security deposit is equivalent to 25% of the final invoice total. The security deposits paid at the time of booking will be applied toward your final balance. 


PLEASE NOTE: All security deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable unless canceled by the provider for any unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, illness, etc.) or authorized by the provider in writing via email. No exceptions! 


Deposits will be collected through the HoneyBook user portal (https://beautybycourtneyrenee.hbportal.co/app/) or via HoneyBook invoice. Cashapp, Venmo, Apple Pay and Google Pay will not be accepted for security deposit payment unless approved by the makeup artist.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:


  • Paid deposits CANNOT be applied to another date and time. A separate deposit must be paid for each date and time booked.
  • The card used to pay deposit will be stored on file in case of late payment or applicable cancelation penalty.
  • All clients are required to complete the full proposal, including service selection, client questionnaire, client contract, and deposit payment,  sent via email from the HoneyBook portal. 
  • In-person consultations after the virtual consultation are available at an additional cost of $75 + Travel. Makeup trials for Bridal Glam clients is free of charge. The additional fee for all other clients will be added to the final invoice.
  • A virtual consultation is available for any booked service For an additional fee.

Final Payments

The final balance must be paid on, or before the event date .  The final balance will include all additional services, travel fees (described in the Travel Fee section of this contract), promotional discounts (if applicable), etc. An itemized breakdown of service will be provided on the invoice. 


The final balance will be collected through the HoneyBook user portal, (https://beautybycourtneyrenee.hbportal.co/app/), HoneyBook invoice, Venmo (@BBCR_) or cash at the time of service.


Cashapp, Apple Pay and Google Pay will not be accepted. 

Late Payments

If the final balance is not paid by the client on the day of service, the credit card stored on file will be charged for the full balance the next day.

Gratuities

Gratuity is never expected but always appreciated.  :)


NOTE: Consultation and travel fees are separate costs and are not included as gratuity.

Chargebacks

Unpaid balances will be automatically be charged to the credit card stored on file. By agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in the client agreement, the client agrees not to dispute any charges owed to provider. Charges owed to the provider by the client will be identified on an itemized invoice.

Refunds

All payments made to the provider are non-refundable unless an error is made by the provider (i.e. overcharged amount, incorrect invoice, provider canceled a service, etc.). Refunds will take 7-10 business days to be received by the client once processed.


Client agrees that the refund of the erroneous amount is the only liability to the provider, its employees, independent contractors, agents, and owners. If the provider has to cancel an appointment for any reason, the client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit and final payment (if already paid) is the only liability to the provider, its employees, independent contractors, agents, and owners.

BRIDES ONLY

  • All services for the bridal party will be placed on one invoice. Multiple payments can be made using the HoneyBook portal.
  • An additional in-person consultation will be scheduled to preview and perfect your desired look!  Any consults for the bridal party must be booked separately for a fee of $75 + travel

cancelation/No-Show policy

All cancelations must be made within 24-hours of the service time to avoid any penalty fees. The cancelation penalties are listed  below:  


CANCELATION PENALTIES


  • 24-hours prior to service time-  $0
  • Day of service - 50% Balance
  • No-Show - Full Balance


The cancelation penalties listed above are non-negotiable and will be charged to the card on file. The cancelation penalties can be waived at the provider's discretion (i.e. client experiences medical emergency, family emergency, etc.). 


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:


  • Deposits paid to the provider are non-refundable and non-transferrable - no exceptions!
  • Any partial payments made to the provider in addition to the deposit are non-refundable but can be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled service within two weeks of the original service date. After two weeks, the funds become non-transferable.
  • Cancelation penalty fees must be paid and can be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled service within two weeks of the original service date. After two weeks, the funds become non-transferable. 

Staying Over Policy

If the client wishes for the makeup artist to stay during the wedding ceremony, a fee of $75 per hour will be applied beginning at the conclusion of the scheduled makeup services. 


The total additional hours will be established at the conclusion of the scheduled makeup services. The total balance must be paid prior to the start time of the wedding. If the balance is not paid, the total fee will be charged to the credit card stored on file.

Late policy

The client has a 15-minute grace period before late fees will be applied. 


The late fees are defined as follows:


LATE FEE SCHEDULE

  • 16-20 Minutes - $20
  • 21-25 Minutes - $30
  • 26-30 Minutes - $40


Provider may cancel appointments delayed longer than 20 minutes at their discretion. If appointment is canceled, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any payment made to the provider aside from the security deposit are non-refundable but can be applied as a credit toward a rescheduled service within two weeks of the original service date. After two weeks, the funds become non-transferable.


The late fees listed above are non-negotiable. The additional fee will be applied to the final invoice and charged to the card on file. The late fee can be waived at the provider's discretion. 

Appointment Location & Requirements

The location of the scheduled appointment and/or makeup trial is at the discretion of the client. Travel fees will apply based on the distance (in miles) from the provider's address to the service location (travel fee schedule can be found in the "Travel Fees & Travel Accommodations" section of this contract). In order for services to be rendered properly, the service location must include electricity.

Destination Events

Travel fee schedule listed in the "Travel Fees & Travel Accommodations" section of this contract does not apply to destination events. 


If the service location is more  4+ hours away from the provider's location, it will be considered a destination event. All, but not limited to, of the following accommodations for the provider must be paid for in full by the client at least three days in advance of the service day for all destination events:


  • Airfare including baggage fees (applicable for trips three or more hours away from the provider's location)
  • All fuel costs to and from the service location plus Maryland mileage reimbursement rate of $0.67 per mile (applicable for trips between 3-4 hours)
  • Travel arrangements to and from the airport (i.e. Lyft, Uber, Taxi, car service, etc.)
  • Parking, valets and tolls (if applicable)
  • Hotel reservations and service incidentals (3-star or higher) - A room where the bridal party will be staying is preferred and can reduce costs.


NOTE: Reimbursement to the provider will not be accepted. All accommodations must be paid for by the client in advance within 5-days of the service date.

Travel Policy - Local Travel

Clients will be subjected to travel fees based on the service location. The following fee schedule will apply:


TRAVEL FEES

  • 0-10 miles - $0
  • 11-25 miles - $25
  • 26-40 miles - $40
  • 41-55 miles$55
  • 56-70 miles - $70
  • 71-85 miles - $85
  • 86-100 miles - $100
  • 101-200 miles - $150
  • 200+ miles - See "Destination Event" section above

Travel Accomodations

Hotel accommodations, in addition to the travel fees listed in the table above, will be provided by the client for provider under the following circumstances:


  • If the service location is more than 100 miles from the provider's location and the appointment time is prior to 8am, a hotel will be provided for the provider by the client for the night prior to the appointment (3-star or higher).
  • If the service location is more than 100 miles from the provider's location and the appointment starts after 6pm, a hotel will be provided for the provider by the client for the night after the appointment (3-star or higher).

Photography + Videography + Social Media

All photos and videos taken of the client by the provider during the service time are subjected to be posted on the Beauty by Courtney Renee', LLC website (www.beautybycourtneyrenee.com) or any additional social media platform representing the provider for marketing purposes (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, digital portfolios, additional digital platforms, etc.). 


Any photos or videos taken during the time of service by outside or on-site photographers and videographers that include the provider and/or the work performed by the provider should be made available to the provider upon request (i.e. working shots of the provider, completed faces of the bride and the wedding party, etc.).

The provider has the rights to any and all photos containing the provider or work completed by the provider on the serviced client. 


Any image of the makeup artist and/or details of the services rendered must be approved by the provider. The client also agrees to reference (i.e. tagging on on all social media platforms, etc.) the provider in any approved photographs shared online and/or on all social media platforms.


The signed agreement serves as a release to client(s) photographer/videographer and authorizes them to release to the provider and its owners, agents and employees any photographs/recordings to use on any promotional materials the provider deems necessary.

Cleanliness Protocol & Liability

Protocol

All products, tools and workstations are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by the provider prior to each makeup application. All makeup tools and products are kept in closed containers and/or bags between each makeup application.


NOTE: While the provider takes extra steps to protect animals, some products used may not be considered vegan or cruelty-free.

Liability

Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the provider on the Consultation Questionnaire. If need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test for any reaction. If a reaction occurs, the product will be removed immediately and the skin will be cleaned.


Client(s) agree to release and hold harmless the makeup artist, Courtney Newkirk, Beauty by Courtney Renee', it's owners, employees, independent contractors, and agents from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions and/or any known allergies. 


By signing this contract, the client hereby releases, holds harmless and discharges the provide and its agents, employees, independent contractors, and owners from any liability from any circumstance including the negligence of the provider or its employees, owners, independent contractors and agents.

Additional Information

Severability

If any provisions of this agreement shall be held to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable or in conflict with any of the law(s) of any jurisdiction, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby. 

Amendments to Services

Booked services can be downgraded or subtracted once contract is signed and deposit is paid (i.e. if the initial contract is for a specific service, that service cannot be downgraded to a cheaper service). 

Satisfaction Guarantee

Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Ample time will be given for each makeup service upon booking. Acceptance of the completed makeup application and full payment is acknowledgment by the client that the makeup is done to the client’s satisfaction.
